William Walker Spring Recipes

The days are getting longer, the temperatures warmer - spring feelings are in the air. The most beautiful time of the year not only makes crocuses, snowdrops and willow catkins blossom again, but also brings delicious food to the table. Especially vegetables, fruits and light meals are always on the menu when nature is at its best. So that spring fever is also awakened in your four-legged friend, we have created a few great recipes for the dog bowl. Among them especially seasonal delicacies and healthy freshness in abundance.

1. Williams salmon asparagus plate

Ingredients (2-4 servings depending on size of the dog)

  • 4-5 potatoes
  • 2 spears green asparagus
  • 1-2 carrots
  • 150 gram frozen peas
  • one salmon fillet (ca. 120 gr.)
  • 2 leaves dandelion
  • a dash of linseed oil

Wash, peel and chop the potatoes and boil them in a pot until soft. Wash the green asparagus and carrots, cut them into small pieces and then boil them together with the peas for about 7-10 minutes also until soft. Set the chopped and cooked vegetables aside to cool and add a dash of William Walker Lucky Love linseed oil. Now add some oil (sunflower or canola oil) to a pan and heat. Rinse the salmon fillet under cold water, pat dry and sear in the pan for about 4 minutes on both sides. Meanwhile, wash the fresh dandelion and pluck it into small pieces. All ingredients should be well cooled, so that your pelt-nose does not burn himself. Arrange everything tasty and last but not least add the dandelion over the meal. Mmm...if that doesn't taste like spring?!

2. Williams spring meatballs

Ingredients

  • 500 gr. ground beef
  • 100 gr. fresh goat cheese
  • approx. 120 grams of cabbage
  • 1-2 carrots (about 120 grams)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp chopped parsley
  • a dash of linseed oil

Wash cabbage and carrots and then grate them very finely. Then mix all the ingredients together properly and knead well. Now form smaller or larger meatballs from the mass, depending on the size of your dog. Heat oil (sunflower or rapeseed oil) in a pan and fry the meatballs on medium heat until crispy on both sides. Let the whole thing cool down well and William's spring meatballs are ready - the perfect snack for in between.

3. Williams Carrot-Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3 large carrots
  • 1 egg
  • 50 grams of spelt flakes
  • Spelt flour
  • some linseed oil

Wash the carrots, peel if necessary and grate them into small pieces Then mix the remaining ingredients with the carrot grates. At the end add spelt flour as needed until the mixture becomes dough-like. Now simply place small piles of dough or balls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at 120 degrees upper-lower heat for about 50-60 minutes until crispy golden brown. For a longer shelf life, simply place the cookies on the heater overnight after baking and let them harden. So they are also wonderful as a gift for dog owners.
